Contents Page Step By Step

I used the shape tool to produce the two large circles that i also used for my double page spread showing continuity and recognition. I also used the paint bucket tool and eye dropper tool to chose the correct color and fill in the circles. 

This is the finished product of my contents page when everything was put into place and positioned in the correct way.

I used the front cover image and saved it as a picture opened up  anew tab and dragged the image onto my contents page making it smaller and slightly on a side. I added arrows using the shape tool and filled them black whilst adding page numbers with the text tool to direct the audience inside the magazine to the different pages.

I stuck to conventions of real media products and used the heading inside this month using the text tool whilst also adding page numbers and stories to the section. I looked at other pop music magazines for inspirations when creating my stories.

I added a promotional section with a one pound subscription inside my magazine using the text tool. I produced a page number so the audience know where to look in the magazine for the contents page. I added the website name to the page as i have on each one of the three products.

I included a special features section using the text tool to create the text and added the images that i had previously taken at the festival when i visited in the summer of 2013 putting them on an angle and organising them effectively.

I again used forms and conventions of real media products and created a charts celebrity section and charts you section. Using the text tool i added stories and page numbers directing the audience to the correct pages. I used the eye dropper tool to make sure the text was the same color contentiously throughout the three products.

I called the contents page contents and made the text large and bold so that it stands out to the audience. I used the same color scheme throughout making the text the same green as the text on the other pages.

I separated the text sections using the shape tool and adding lines to make boxes so that it stood out and was clear to the reader which text belonged to which section of writing.

I added an editors section like in most pop music magazines with an image of me that i cut around using the magnetic lasso tool and added text with the text tool to form a message from the editor. I changed the levels of the image to make it stand out and add life to the image.

I used social media relating to my target audience and pop genre taking images from Google images and cutting around then using the eraser tool. I used the move tool to place them at the position that i wanted them to be at.

I used a conventional style and layout of my contents page placing the masthead at the top of the page and the message from the editor at the bottom left hand corner. I p;laced the two large dots behind everything else in the background bringing color to my contents page.
